Chitundu offers transfer advice to Patson Daka

FIFA-licensed players’ agent Chiti Chitundu has advised Chipolopolo striker Patson Daka to prioritize regular playing time as he prepares for the next chapter of his career.

Daka’s contract with Leicester City expires on June 30, bringing to an end his five-year spell with the English club. Reports have linked the Zambian international with potential moves to either Turkey or Spain.

Speaking about Daka’s future, Chitundu stressed that securing consistent minutes on the pitch should be the striker’s main consideration when choosing his next club.

“The most important thing for Patson now is to go to a club where he is going to play week in, week out. At this stage of his career, regular football should be the priority,” Chitundu said.

The FIFA players’ agent believes limited playing time would hinder Daka’s efforts to rediscover his best form.

“As players grow, they need minutes on the pitch. If you are not playing consistently, it becomes difficult to maintain your confidence, fitness and rhythm. That is why I believe game time should come before everything else,” he said.

Chitundu added that Daka remains one of Zambia’s finest attacking talents and is capable of thriving if he joins a club that places its trust in him.

“Patson has already shown what he can do. What he needs now is an environment where the coach trusts him and gives him the chance to play regularly,” he said.

With his Leicester City contract coming to an end, Daka is expected to make a decision on his next destination in the coming weeks as he looks to revive his career with regular first-team football.
