Dennis Makinka Pleased With Kansanshi Dynamos’ Early Pre-Season Progress

Kansanshi Dynamos head coach Dennis Makinka has expressed satisfaction with his squad’s commitment and fitness levels as preparations for the 2026/27 Transitional League gather momentum.

The Solwezi-based outfit recently resumed pre-season training under the guidance of Makinka, who took charge of the club following the departure of Egyptian coach Mohamed Fathi.

The former Nkwazi tactician is aiming to lead Kansanshi Dynamos to a stronger campaign and believes the players have returned from the off-season in impressive condition.

Strong Start to Preparations

Makinka praised the squad’s physical condition after the opening training sessions, noting that many players had clearly maintained their fitness during the break.

“It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a team return from recess in such good shape. From the first training session, I would say the players are already around 50 to 60 percent fit, which is a very positive sign for us,” Makinka said.

Positive Mindset in the Squad

The coach also highlighted the players’ professionalism, suggesting they had continued working on their fitness even while away from the club.

“It shows they didn’t simply take the break to rest completely. They must have been doing individual training, and that’s very encouraging for the coaching staff,” he added.

Makinka further praised the attitude within the dressing room, describing the squad as hardworking and determined to achieve success.

“We have a very committed group of players who are eager to work hard for the team. That hunger and willingness to improve gives us confidence as we prepare for the new season.”

Kansanshi Dynamos will continue their pre-season programme over the coming weeks as Makinka looks to build a competitive side capable of making a strong impression in the 2026/27 Transitional League.
