Nkana Bring Back Ronald “Sate Sate” Kampamba as Strikers Coach
Nkana Football Club has welcomed back former fan favourite Ronald “Sate Sate” Kampamba after appointing the club legend as its new strikers coach ahead of the 2026 Transitional League season.
The former Kalampa forward returns to the Kitwe giants in a coaching capacity, marking the beginning of a new journey with the club where he built his reputation as one of its most respected attacking players.
Club Legend Returns to the Technical Team
In a statement confirming the appointment, Nkana said Kampamba’s return reflects the club’s commitment to preserving its identity by giving former players an opportunity to contribute to the team’s future success.
The club believes his experience and understanding of the Nkana culture will be invaluable as he joins the technical bench.
“Ronald ‘Sate Sate’ Kampamba returns to the club in a new role after an outstanding playing career that earned him admiration from the Nkana faithful,” the club said.
Working Alongside Elijah Tana
Kampamba will form part of head coach Elijah Tana’s backroom staff, where he will focus on improving the team’s attacking efficiency and helping the club’s forwards maximize their potential.
Renowned during his playing days for his eye for goal, relentless work rate and leadership qualities, Kampamba is expected to pass on that knowledge to both senior players and the club’s emerging talents.
Boost for Nkana’s New Season Plans
Nkana believes the former striker’s experience at the highest level of Zambian football will strengthen the technical department as preparations continue for the new campaign.
His appointment is also seen as part of the club’s long-term vision of integrating former players into coaching roles while maintaining the traditions and values that have defined Kalampa over the years.
As the 2026 Transitional League approaches, Kampamba will be tasked with helping sharpen Nkana’s attacking department as the club looks to mount a strong challenge under Elijah Tana’s leadership.
